Do you believe your next experience may be your best experience?
While champions tend to have unwavering confidence in future possibilities, the rest-of-the field tends to believe their future will look more or less like their past. Since such beliefs tend to be self-fulfilling, you are wise to have faith that breakthrough experiences and performance may be right around the corner.
Such confidence in the future may be difficult if you are currently experiencing adverse or challenging circumstances. But these challenges tend to bring out the best in players and teams who maintain a positive attitude and persevere in pursuit of breakthroughs to higher levels of experience and performance.
Champions know the path to winning performance is neither a straight line nor a sprint. In fact, most champions take two steps forward followed by one step backward on their lifetime journey to mastery. They may get knocked down but they take pride and joy in getting back up again. They learn more from their setbacks than they do from their achievements and gain confidence knowing that each hurdle they overcome draws them closer to realizing their greatest dreams and ambitions.
It does not matter how old you may be, how much you may have already achieved, or how disappointed you may be in your experience and performance to date. Your next experience may be your best experience ever.
Make your next shot your best shot.
Be thankful for your opportunities and your challenges. For all its trials and hardship, it is truly a wonderful world and our lives tend to serve up the lessons we most need to learn.
Happy Thanksgiving!
