Toughness

Are you tough enough to realize your greatest dreams and ambitions?

Many people talk a big game but fewer people have the toughness required to overcome the obstacles and setbacks that are inevitable when you aim high and dream big.

While optimism is an essential quality for aspiring champions, optimism without toughness can lead to frustration and cynicism when experiences become unfavorable as they sometimes do.

If you dare to pursue bolder ambitions, you must develop the courage, confidence and resilience to confront and overcome the adversity and hardships that are familiar challenges for those who live, work and play at the highest levels.

Although champions are most visible when they are winning, you can tell more about great players when they are experiencing disappointments and setbacks.

While most players tend to whine, complain or make excuses when the going gets tough, great players take even greater responsibility for their words, attitude, efforts and actions when the competition becomes most difficult.

While good players may win on occasion when playing conditions are the most favorable, great players learn to compete and win in all conditions.

Tough times happen for all of us. Great players welcome such tough times as rigorous tests that will sharpen and strengthen their skills, beliefs, relationships and commitments.

Tough times make great players greater. Tough times make the pursuit and achievement of victory sweeter.

If you are reading this message it’s likely you are an optimist. Are you tough enough to persevere in pursuit of your greatest dreams and ambitions?
